I had to move to Texas two months ago because my husband’s job got relocated to Dallas. It was a very stressful move but we did a few things that made the move easier. The most important thing we did to make our move easier was turn on the utilities before we even left Florida. We called our friends who are from Texas and asked them about texas utility companies. They gave us all the information we needed about electric companies, telephone companies, internet companies, gas companies and cable companies located in Texas. We were able to call each company and ask that they turn on the utility the day before we arrived. When we got to our new house, all of the utilities were turned on and were working. This saved us a lot of time and trouble. We got to the house at night so I was glad that the electric was already turned on.
